Surly Bridge Club
The Surly Bridge Club is a jack of all trades, master of none type of bike. No frills. Perfect as an around-town bike that can jump from the bike path to the single track and everything in between, and it has all of the necessary mounts to deck it out for an overnighter or even a multi-month trip. I rode this bike throughout all of Turkey, and while it has some limitations compared to something like the Tumbleweed Prospector with its bombproof Rohloff system, it provides a great value for the money, especially if you’re just getting into bike travel.
