Bikes
These are the bikes I’ve taken on multi-day, multi-month, or multi-year trips over the last five years of traveling by bike. When I’m picking a bike, the most important aspect is that it doesn’t limit me in where I can go. With this in mind, along with my love of quiet dirt roads and trails, you’ll find that most are built around tires in the 2.6”-3” range, which I find to be the sweet spot for comfort and stability in the rough stuff, and enough speed to get by when forced onto tarmac.
